Campinas, Brazil – Aviagen® Latin America was pleased to connect with Bolivian poultry producers at Expo Alimenta 2024, held Oct. 10-11 in Santa Cruz de la Sierra. Hosted by Ross® 308 AP customer Avicola Sofia, the event provided Aviagen with an opportunity to engage directly with producers, listen to their challenges, and explore how the company can enhance its support for this vital and growing market.
The discussions focused on the qualities that make the Ross 308 AP breeder a perfect fit for Bolivian poultry production, including its resilience, livability, robustness, healthy growth rate, and excellent meat yield.
Recognizing that knowledge is key to success in this market, Aviagen Technical Service Manager for Aviagen South America excluding Brazil (SAEB) Marcus Briganó shared his expertise on the crucial role of management during a chick’s first week of life. He explained how fine-tuning conditions during this critical period can have a lasting impact on chick quality and overall flock performance.
“We are grateful to our valued customer Avicola Sofia for organizing such a successful event,” said Jairo Agostini, Commercial Manager for Aviagen SAEB. “Bolivia is a significant and steadily growing market for poultry production. By ‘Breeding Success Together’ with Bolivian producers, Aviagen is committed to supporting them in enhancing the sustainability, health, and performance of their flocks, helping to put nutritious food on the tables of families in Bolivia, South America, and beyond.”
