Activity in Santa Helena (PR) unites rearing and production teams for three days of hands-on learning, data analysis, and knowledge exchange
CAMPINAS, Brazil – From Oct. 21 to 23, Aviagen® Latin America hosted a new edition of its Aviagen Connection In Company program, this time alongside chicken producer Lar Cooperative in Santa Helena (PR). The event brought together rearing and production professionals to deepen flock performance analysis and strengthen the exchange of knowledge and experience between teams.
The program blended farm visits, data analysis, presentations and group activities, enabling participants to put management concepts into practice and co-create practical solutions for on-farm improvement.
Collaboration and learning in action
The group visited Lar’s rearing and production units, followed by data analysis sessions led by Aviagen’s customer service team. The agenda also featured presentations on Ideal male conformation, Male management for fertility, and Critical factors in production processes, along with interactive sessions that inspired teamwork and sharing of field experiences.
“On behalf of Lar Cooperative, I want to thank Aviagen for their collaboration and dedication, which provided our rearing and production teams with clear, practical takeaways we can apply in our daily work,” said Paulo Gilberto Lurczaki, supervisor of the Lar’s owned rearing and production farms. “The group activities encouraged open discussion and teamwork, helping us identify opportunities to further improve flock performance and hatchability. It was an important step forward in the collaboration between Lar and Aviagen.”
About Aviagen Connection In Company
Aviagen Connection In Company was developed by Aviagen Latin America to create opportunities for practical learning and collaboration with its customers. Through in-company sessions, farm visits, and hands-on workshops, the initiative fosters teamwork, problem-solving, and continuous improvement across the poultry value chain.
The In Company format is part of the broader Aviagen Connection program, which shares the latest poultry management know-how with customers across Latin America. While regular editions bring together multiple companies for regional sessions, the In Company version is designed for a single customer, allowing a deeper focus on local needs, performance goals, and specific management challenges. The program reflects Aviagen’s ongoing commitment to breeding success together — supporting customer development and strengthening relationships built on trust and shared goals.
Regional Technical Services Supervisor Tiago Jacob Gurski noted that Aviagen Connection offers valuable opportunities to stay close to customers, understand their day-to-day realities, and develop solutions together. “The practical and collaborative format allows knowledge to be applied immediately, generating a direct impact on management practices and customer results. Each edition reaffirms our commitment to sustainable progress, flock welfare, and the ongoing success of poultry producers,” he concluded.
