
Company teams up with Plasson and Phibro to bring the latest poultry insights to Bachoco
CAMPINAS, Brazil – Aviagen® Latin America recently extended its “Knowledge Without Borders” series to Guadalajara, Mexico, collaborating with Plasson, a poultry equipment provider, and Phibro Animal Health Corporation. Held May 8–9, the seminar welcomed nearly 80 team members from Bachoco, one of Mexico’s and the world’s foremost poultry producers.
The two-day event featured practical, science-based discussions focused on improving the welfare, performance, and sustainability of Ross® 308 AP birds. With content tailored specifically to local conditions, key topics included:
- Poultry breeding advances and the global market outlook
- Avian influenza prevention and control in Mexico
- Broiler ventilation strategies for poultry welfare
- Optimizing breeder nutrition
- Benefits of automated central nests for bird welfare and hatchability
- Real-world case studies and Q&A
- Best practices for male and female breeder management
- Critical care during the first 14 days to give chicks a good start to life
- Strengthening food security with biosecurity measures for breeder hens
