EDINBURGH, Scotland. – Aviagen^® Kft Ross^® customers in Romania and the Republic of Moldova were recently welcomed into the Ross 420 and 150 Clubs for their achievements in bird welfare, efficiency and productivity. At a seminar in Poiana Brasov, Romania, attended by 32 participants from 13 Parent Stock (PS) customers and independent broiler growers, Aviagen Kft recognized these newest club members.

The seminar included topical presentations: Aviagen Nutritionist Ines Rodrigues provided insights into optimizing PS leg health and overall welfare through good nutrition, while Aviagen Kft’s Regional Technical Manager Dejan Bosanac highlighted the sustainability and health advantages of the Ross 308.

The Ferma Bradesti farm from the Carmistin poultry company received the top Ross 420 Club award with a European Production Efficiency Factor (EPEF) of 466. Similarly, the highest breeder achievement went to Ferma 10 from S.C. Avicola Tartasesti Poultry for their score of 159.7 chicks per hen housed.

* Ross 420 Club membership is awarded to broiler producers who achieve a European Production Efficiency Factor (EPEF) Performance of 420 or more, while breeder growers who produce 150 or more chicks per hen housed (c/hh) are eligible for the Ross 150 Club. (Results are based on flocks depleted in 2023.)
